TMUF vs TM2 - Stadium Screen Compares
Nadeo seemed to be going for as close a replication of the original Stadium as possible... but the environment looks a bit better in the TM2 engine.
I took GanjaRider's "Dutch Delight" map from TrackMania Nations, copied it to my ManiaPlanet\Maps\My Maps
folder and recomputed its shadows for TM2: Stadium.
I then played the map in each game and took some screenshots to compare. Below you'll see the comparisons.
To compare:
- Right-click each link per section
- Open the link in a new tab
- Drag the tab out of your browser to the left or right edge of your screen respectively
First compare - notice the textures on the road blocks (both the road and the guardrails. Also check out the Flags in the back.
Replay - notice the lighting differences in the tunnel and outside in the sky.

I didn't have time to get comparison shots of these (and some of them would be impossible because I don't have the same track in TMUF -- but I'm quite positive these next shots wouldn't look near as good in TMUF.)
